Edna Shafer MacAffer Award

Edna Shafer MacAffer was active in Psi Gamma from the time she was initiated into sisterhood in 1922, until the time of her death in 1983. She was a truly devoted sister. Although there are no records stating the actual positions she held, we do know that she was the type of person who was always there when Psi Gamma needed her.

A major endeavor she attempted to accomplish during her years as an active aluma was to appropriate a house for the sorority and give younger generations a chance to experience the bonds of sisterhood that she held so dear.

Edna Shafer MacAffer's dedication to every aspect of her life will never be forgotten. In honor of her 50 continuous years of devotion to the sorority, in 1974 Psi Gamma established an award to be given to the graduating senior who shows the same undying spirit that Edna Shafer MacAffer had.
